Under the initiative of Georgian Ambassador Khatuna Salukvadze, the Institute of Foreign Languages of Vilnius University is launching a course of Georgian language. Prof. dr. Nino Sharashenidze from Georgia Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is going to work at the Institute of Foreign Languages as a visiting professor in the autumn semester of 2014/2015. Prof. dr. Nino Sharashenidze is going to deliver lectures of Georgian language to the students of Vilnius University as an extra curriculum subject. Prof. dr. Nino Sharashenidze‘s visit is funded by Marie Curie International Fellowship Fund (7BP).

Jessica M. Hamilton guest lecturer from USA delivered a number of lectures to the students of the Institute of Foreign Languages. Following the initially established tradition of bringing students to international and intercultural dimensions the 2nd year students of English-Spanish program had both pleasure and challenge to share English lexis lectures in American way.
Head of the English Speaking Union Lithuania, B. O. Paloviene, took part in the 33rd International Public Speaking Competition ( IPSC) in London. Lithuanian contestant, Rokas Ridzevicius progressed from the heats to the semi-finals including the best 18 individuals out of an already outstanding field. To reach this far is a fantastic achievement.
