On 16 March 2012 the second-year students of the Institute of Foreign Languages visited Menų Spaustuvė (Arts Printing House). At the beginning the programme manager Ingrida Ragelskienė kindly welcomed the students and told them some facts about the origins of Menų Spaustuvė and gave the basic information about the main spaces of the institution: Infoteka, Black Hall, Pocket Hall and rehearsal rooms. Students found this information very useful, especially because of Infoteka which has a big collection of books and videos in English which is really useful for the students studying English language.

The National Public Speaking Competition was held on the 2nd of March 2012, at LCC International University. Birute Paloviene ( Institute of  Foreign Languages, Vilnius University) was kindly invited to join the board of  9  judges for the event. 38 participants, their English language teachers and support teams from all over Lithuania took part in the competition.

On 29 February the Institute of Foreign Languages hosted the delegation from the University of Latvia. A joint team of pedagogues considered the issues of further cooperation, discussed the   possibilities of designing a joint study programme in Teacher Training.
